Workshop Overview

From function to community integration.

This joint pre-conference workshop is centred on the theme “From Function to Community Integration.”

The morning programme provides a joint overview of functional expectations and rehabilitation, including shoulder preservation, reconstructive upper-limb surgery in tetraplegia, paediatrics, return to parenting, return to work and return to walking. In the afternoon, occupational therapy and physiotherapy tracks run in parallel before final joint sessions on spinal stimulation and physical activity from evidence to practice.

A practical day across function, participation and rehabilitation practice.

The workshop is designed around shared physiotherapy and occupational therapy learning, profession-specific afternoon tracks, and joint discussion on emerging clinical practice in SCI rehabilitation.

Joint discussion on transcutaneous spinal stimulation, clinical usefulness and shared practice experience.
