Workshop Overview

Nutrition, nursing and interdisciplinary SCI care in one focused pre-conference day.

This full-day programme brings together dietitians, nurses, clinicians, occupational therapists, researchers and wider MDT colleagues to explore practical and research-focused topics in spinal cord injury care.

The programme includes dedicated sessions on nutrition, interdisciplinary working with the wider MDT, and nursing-focused topics including pressure injury prevention, bowel and bladder management, ageing with SCI and community transition care.

A full-day programme across nutrition, wider MDT working and nursing care.

The day is structured around three connected areas of spinal cord injury care, combining research updates, clinical practice, interdisciplinary approaches and hands-on learning.

Nutrition research priorities, rehabilitation and recovery, primary care dietitian education and whole-diet approaches after SCI.

Working with the Wider MDT

Research, occupational therapy, physician input, nutrition support, pressure ulcer management and cardiometabolic profiles.

Nursing

Nursing and nutrition approaches to pressure injury prevention, bowel and bladder management, ageing with SCI and transition care.
